My fashion design

These are the products of the fashion design course i had last year. Actually i had wanted to be a fashion designer from  primary school .I was fond of drawing figures with different clothes everywhere like on my desk. So i was really excited that  i had such a course.

This was the beginning of the fashion design.I looked up for interesting designs on the fashion magazines and i drew them down.
This is the skeleton that i drew from the three figures above so as to better understand the structure of human bodies.
Then ,i tried to design on my own based on the inspirations that i was given.
The left one looked like some ghost associated with snake which was quite funny.
For these two , i tried to let the models' hairstyle match with their clothes .
For this one i tried to see if it would be nice to add many details to almost every part of the clothes. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bit too excessive.
Then ,i decided not to put too much decorations on the clothes and i tried different styles . For example the above four are four different types:delicate, gay, cool and gracious.

Finally, I decided to choose this one as my final work. The material on the body part is carefully weaved and looks delicate while the lower part of the dress is made from silk so it is quite shiny.

Then i started to add on background for the design. It was the first time that i ever tried photoshop so it was quite hard for me to manage the applications, so i gave up cutting the figure using computer but instead turned to scissors .I also used photoshop to adjust the color of the figure to make it match better with the color of the background.
This is the final work-back

this is the final work-front

  1. I love the one with the red skirt in the designs you brainstormed! The balance between the structure of the skirt and the flowy, drapy feel of everything else is really pretty :3
