coursework 3 -inspiration

With the basic framwork of ideas in mind, now it comes to how to transfrom my ideas into artworks. So i searched online for inspirations. Firstly, i concentrated mostly on painting , it came out that there were very few resources. Thus i decided to widen my scope to include photographs, sculptures and some some interesting and innovatice artworks come into my eye, such as painting on bread and installations using supermarket baskets!

The supermarket placed decals of hungry, begging street children at the bottom of supermarket shopping trolleys bearing the feed SA website and the line,” See how easy feeding the hungry can be?” Any food placed into the trolley appeared to be given to the child. Thus its message of calling the shoppers to donate food to street children was seen by hundreds of shoppers every day which significantly increased the number of donation. Thus I am thinking maybe I can also make use of visual hallucinations to give people a stronger feeling that many underprivileged children are in great needs for help. For example put paintings of hungry, begging children on plates of fast-food restaurants.

The one that strikes me the most is of couse the  photographs of Anne Geddes .She put children inside beautiful and silky flowers which make people have a strong feeling about how tender and precious the children are. This inspires me that I can make use of flowers to emphasize that children are gifts from god who are so precious ,thus it can show the antithesis between tender new born babies and pitiable underprivileged children who the babies grown up to be .

These are the compiled inspirations that i got brilliant ideas from.
