These are some photos that I took in my hometown, Wuxi, during the June holiday. The photos feature an old town on the outskirts of Wuxi where the scenery of Jiangnan towns are well preserved. There are some unique landmarks of Jiangnan town in these photos like stone bridges, houses along rivers and the poetic scene of trees casting shadows on the clear river.
To give the photos a note of antiquity, I added some effect using Photoshop. I feel the blurred images give people a sense of nostalgia, a wave of sadness about the time that has passed. And the light sopts on the photos make it look like it has been kept for a very long time and paints has flaked.
